Mark has a 15-year background in institutional retirement consulting and extensive experience with Blue Prairie Group’s institutional services including vendor searches, the development of effective investment arrays, the evaluation of investment advice providers, merger and acquisition retirement plan issues and the selection of investment managers. His focus will be on helping clients improve their retirement plans by reducing cost, improving investment performance, aligning plan design to larger organizational goals and reducing risk for the fiduciaries of the plan.

Identifying and eliminating excess revenue is an exercise in reducing a service provider’s profit margins and reducing a plan sponsor’s chances of being sued.

Plan sponsors have a fiduciary duty to understand and control plan costs and are legally obligated to run the plan for the exclusive benefit of plan participants. Plan sponsors who also understand the economics of the retirement plan industry can use this information to 1) Drive down the cost of the plan and 2) Negotiate favorable long-term pricing contracts that directly benefit plan participants.
